I’ve found something I see as a safety concern with Google Gemini / AI search. Last night I was able to find the personal instagram accounts of people through searching a car reg on Google. In some cases it was reading the reg plate from a reel. It often brought back the owners name too.

here's a little data moshing tool I made thinkmake.github.io/databender.m... instead of simulating glitch effects, it works the old-fashioned way by corrupting the jpg compression. but with sliders and error correction so you can see what you're doing plus high/low pass filters for cleaning logos

Rob Sheridan@rob-sheridan.com · 2mo agoThe flat touch “buttons” are the worst. Our microwave is trying to be so “sleek” it only has two invisible black touch points on the outside. STOP IT. Microwaves are not sexy. They stare back at you when you are at your worst. They are the epitome of an appliance that just needs to fucking work.
