there is no need for the a.i. hysteria in the news, it is simply a way to capture attention and get everyone to believe it’s the future. sure, it’s useful, but it‘s not cheap or without planetary cost. it’s statistics applied to words, not ‘intelligence’.
why doesn’t the bbc say that the licence fee includes free tickets to live at the apollo, have i got news for you, and radio 4 recordings? quite good value when you consider that.

Good things about running community events: - DIY culture is still alive, no matter how corporate the civil service becomes - You can have fun with friends showing imperfect work - Everyone is working in a less-than-ideal environment and has hacks to share

Of course the more we extend the list of property attributes that are re-usable as #opendata in the UK, the weirder it looks that we don't also have #openaddresses i.e. the most widely recognised descriptor for each property

How might we give teams more control of a test result?
We’re using research and testing to reduce risk and learn what works. Our riskiest assumption is technical in nature but could enable improvements to the way users experience test results.
