I’ve just checked my ‘physical’ book download shelf in the library (no audible for me thank you very much) I have 5 beautiful hardbacks queued and waiting to be read, so I’ve ordered another 3 - you can never be too safe. #booksky

This photo was taken in 1911 using glass plate technology by Herbert Ponting who was part of Scott's Antarctic expedition, The composition and detail are exquisite with the band of white snow/ice creating a perfect frame around the two people and the ship in the distance Iconic imo

Thoughts on #hamnet ? Is it worth paying a small mortgage to see it on the big screen whilst people eat and talk through it.
I’m wondering if all murder mysteries come with a red ribbon 🤔 Thank you @bertsbooks.bsky.social #booksky

Just me, or anyone else hoping this excellent novel inspires/heralds the return to our screens of Douglas Henshall. We can call it ‘PEREZ’ or ‘ORKNEY’ for starters. Please have a word @anncleeves.bsky.social 😉 #booksky #shetland

Now it’s been ‘officially’ released and is out there, here is my portrait of Composer Lorne Balfe, taken at Abbey Road this year. This is from my ongoing documentary on him and his work, started in 2024. #lornebalfe #abbeyroad #composer #hollywood #music #photographer Under strict copywrite.
Got slammed by the critics, but I still find it quite charming. There are lots of crap xmas movies out there, this isn’t one of them.

The last 10 mins of this film gets me every time 😢
Found myself in Oxford again this week, first time there since I was on tour with a v.famous singer. Nice to see the sights I missed then and soak up the Xmas atmos. Visited all the important literary sights of course.
This is Cole Stacey. We’ve worked together quite a bit this year and I can’t recommend him highly enough as an artist. His music is ethereal, relevant, and rooted in Devonian life. Look him up and take a listen. His album ‘Postcards from Lost Places’ is available now.
