In gardening news I took to the books this year and looked up how to look after a mature hibiscus bush - essentially trim back in early spring Remembering we had a very wet spring, I was a bit worried when it grew a lot of new leaf However it budded up and it is now covered in many blooms as ⬇️

I booked Rod Liddle as a guest on a show, many years ago, just after he left Today and had started as a columnist. He was a massive arsehole from the moment he arrived till the moment he left. A character trait he went on to demonstrate publicly, in print and on screen till, well, today.
From today, EU citizens have a legal right to know when they're talking to a bot or looking at a deepfake, backed by fines of up to €15m. Thanks to Brexit, we're missing out on this protection.

What I really want to hear Burnham say is that awful, evil politicians have been fearmongering and weaponising the whole issue of immigration, in a way that causes everyone harm. He doesn’t even need to mention that Starmer was one of them.
One of the (many) things I can't forgive this government for is adopting the language of the far right on a number of issues, particularly immigration. Here in Spain, we're seeing it weaponised against a govt of a similar hue to Burnham's. You can't beat the fascists by wearing their clothes.
