the haver of it🔞@taylortitmouse.bsky.social · 5mo agoreminder when you're doing your taxes, the number patreon is putting on your 1099 is the gross and they DO NOT exclude all the money they took from you in fees. you need to deduct that yourself as business expenses. an easy ("easy") way to do that is to download your earnings by month

I just want all artists to succeed and make cool shit. I want a world where all artists could just make so much art that every story can find its audience and every audience can find its story. I just want to live in a world where we can all bask in the joy of getting to make and participate in art.
