Counterpoint: No they didn’t. As the video admits, NASA used the description “pyramidal” in the photo caption. This is not an “announcement”. “Pyramidal” is a shape description used frequently in geology, archaeology, & architecture. It doesn’t indicate artificiality.

I’ve worked with commercial spaceflight companies a few times now. This an insanely bad idea. Launch on a fundamental level is an incredibly violent affair, and a LOT of work has gone into making it coexist well with nature at Cape Canaveral.
