A @chilternrailway.bsky.social service departs Milton Keynes for Oxford. Such a shame the @rmtunion.bsky.social want to destroy rail investment and jobs by citing safety issues.
@musicandbooks9.bsky.social Hi, how can I help? I've not been active at Quainton for 20+ years now but do get in touch! cleerail@yahoo.com
@signaloftheday.bsky.social @locusinpes.bsky.social will know given he was next to me but does @paulbigland.bsky.social know? Or anyone else for that matter? @trainstramstracks.bsky.social @teamgreen70020.bsky.social @railfocus.bsky.social - no chance!
A @gwr.com IEP headed east today to Forders Siding at Kempston Hardwick near Bedford. A preview of a Bristol to Bedford service perhaps given Bristol drivers now sign to Oxford and Milton Keynes ready for the November diversions via EWR to/from Euston.
Great idea and will save lives and injuries. 30 seconds of your time is miniscule price to pay.
On the one hand, some people want to make it so that kids and other people aren't crushed to death by cars. On the other hand, some people are upset that they might have to pay attention, slow down or be inconvenienced by about 15 seconds. So you can see how it's a "war on cars."

@stuntbutt.bsky.social The August 1997 Railway Magazine reported 2000. I launched the project in 2000 for Railtrack... I think The Kinks song Tired of Waiting is possibly very apt!
Any news when services will start running on the new line please?
The @hs2ltd.bsky.social civils' works are well underway as can be seen at Calvert today. Even grabbed a pic of a @chilternrailway.bsky.social train crossing HS2! The employment that will come to Calvert will boost the area with high paid skilled jobs.

The Snowdon Mountain Railway is featured in the latest Heritage Railway magazine. The inside story of the modernising of Clogwyn loop at 2550 feet up the mountain in the worst winter for years. The ride out on a Works train was awesome! Read all about it.....
Spot on. Lunatic drivers don't care about this.
For the 5th consecutive year child casualties have flat-lined at around 13,000 road casualties of age 16 and under. In what other area of life would the death or injury of 13,000 children be "acceptable"? The government has a Road Safety Strategy that aims to reduce child KSIs by 70%.

Cockshute Sidings, Stoke on Trent? Rare sighting of ex-Island Line 1938 Stock car no. 229 in the background!
Half a century between these pics at the same location. But where is it?
A decade ago I took this which is an easy to identify subject and location.
Usual story, doing picture research and came up with this little bit of railway history.
I must be mistake, I'm sure I heard Trump say they had won the war some months ago. Maybe I'm deluded and he's just wrong?

I kept having to update this post. Hegseth has barely gotten started. He's arguing "military requires a generational investment" to "deliver peace through strength."

The Major government has blood on its hands from the 1993 Railways act. I do wonder how much things would have changed had a crash with the same magnitude and characteristics as Ladbroke Grove happened in some northern town, rather than in West London with plentiful access to live news crews…
