ahhh rereading past ideas and like...i still love the idea of donnie doing a quiet proposal or more like declaration. "I want to marry you," he slips easily between morning kisses. "I want to marry you," and he says it before the logical part of him wakes up and rethinks otherwise.

β€œthis person is bad so their work was always bad” is also a really dangerous view to take because it leads to - unconscious or not - a bias towards β€œbut I do like this other person’s work, ergo they must be a good person” which, as we have seen over and over, is simply not true

What happens a lot on social media is when someone (Warren Ellis, Neil Gaiman now Ed Brubaker) has allegations thrown at them people tend to leap out the woodwork saying "their work was never good." That helps no one as it's irrelevant. What matters is their actions and what they did.
