I went out to bring the washing in yesterday and found yet another Jersey Tiger Moth on a nice clean white towel! Definitely a good year for them, unlike Scarlet Tigers of which I’ve not see a single one this year yet. #TeamMoth #MothsMatter

We have at last had a Jersey Tiger in the garden! I thought we were going to miss out as everyone else seemed to be getting them. I disturbed it when I was furtling around in one of the rougher areas and it flew out and posed nicely on the Silver Birch for a photo. #TeamMoth #MothsMatter

All these little dots are the seeds, or sori as they’re called, on the underside of a Male Fern, Dryopterus felix-mas. I think they make a pretty pattern.

The golden colour to the moon these past few nights is stunning but comes as a visible reminder of the devastating wildfires burning across many countries. Thinking of all those affected.
