Jess Calarco@jessicacalarco.com · 2w agoThree years ago, I broke my foot while trail running in New Zealand. The total bill for my hospital visit--which included X-rays, a walking boot, and crutches-- was $0.
Imagine flying 3 hours from Sydney to Auckland and then another 17 hours to JFK only to divert to Boston, then another hour flight back to JFK only then wait another 3 hours for a gate. And then you still have to deal with USB CBP and getting out of JFK. What an ordeal.
