Vargskelethor/Joel was playing through N64 games of questionable quality, and one of those games was Razor Freestyle Scooter. I thought, "This would be funnier with Fren riding the scooter." So, I painted it. #MARU #DANKART #Fren #vargskelethor #vinesauce

I've been playing around with ChipNomad from @megus.org lately. Do I know what I'm doing? Absolutely not. The gritty sounds I can make with the AY chip are fun though. #MARU #chiptune #chipnomad #music
I made some Gunstar Heroes artwork that was featured in @agentannk.bsky.social 's last Dank Zine. If you enjoy retro games, obscure media, dank movies, and comic books, you should check out her stuff, too.
I've never made NES music before, so I decided to try out Risa from @laamaa.fi by making a rendition of my LSDJ song, Himitsu/Secret. It's probably easier to make NES music in Furnace or similar trackers, but the LSDJ style interface just feels like home. 👍
A sketched the idea for this during @pixelturkey.com playing through her BIG GOLF stream and decided to paint it. #MARU #dankart #art
My @subvert.fm page is now live, meaning you can listen, download, and even purchase my music on this new, shiny platform that feels fresh and ambitious. You can check out my page here - www.subvert.fm/maru There's plenty of other artists on there too, so please check it out. #MARU #music #subvert
I participated for the first time in this year's TRACKERCORPS compilation where the theme was to use public domain film material for samples. It just released, so If you enjoy unhinged, moody, percussion heavy music, you'll enjoy this. #TRACKERCORPS #music

Drums are one of my favorite instruments, yet I've never played a drum set and I can't really own one because it would drive my family crazy. Instead, I vicariously experience it through others playing covers to soundtracks I like - like this.

A while back @goatistream.bsky.social played through Where's Waldo for his Megamarathon and I got this funny idea while watching. 👽 #MARU #dankart
Nine games isn't enough to list my vast genre of favorite games, but these are definitely some of my top games that molded my interest in certain genres and storytelling styles. #My9Games
About a week ago Indy (www.indyfullstop.com) was streaming a serenade and I commented during one of the songs that involved the word burning that if he started screaming in pain during those parts it would be funnier. He did it, so I sampled them for learning MilkyTracker. 🤪 #MARU #music

I started playing Wario's Woods again since it's been ages since I played it again and it's still super fun. I'm kind of surprised Nintendo never built upon this and made a newer version with smoother controls. Maybe I should finally learn to program games competently and make a game inspired by it.
What is that Discord? You're rolling out requiring age verification with an ID or facial recognition next month? Do you think we don't remember the last data breach you had with that? Oh, you don't? I guess it's time for people who want to chat with me to use another app or give me their email.
I received an email about a class action suit against G. Skill for supposedly mislabeling their RAM, was looking at the ridiculous price of RAM now when looking at my previous orders, and all I can think of now is one of the first songs I made in LSDJ inspired by doing a memory test.

I started playing Trials of Mana since the last time I played this was in the early 2000's as the fan translation of Seiken Densetsu 3, which apparently was a ROM hacking marvel but Trials is much better. The graphics and music in this game are still absolutely amazing and gorgeous for a SNES game.
I feel like there's a dust machine somewhere in my house because a full layer of dust settles all over my stuff in a single day and I have an air filter running in my room plus a whole house air filter. Dust still forms on everything again in a few hours after dusting and cleaning everything.
