One of the hardest parts about talking to a loved one with dementia is when they are "stuck" in repetitive thoughts and keep saying the same thing over and over. Especially if the thought is about something unpleasant like days of wildfire smoke.

Unfortunately the US seems keen on it, with mining potentially happening within the next couple years on the Alaska-Canada border. This will sweep sediment containing heavy metals and radioactive materials into Canadian waters and obliterate marine ecosystems

A misty, cool morning here in the Cariboo. I went out for sunrise photos around 5:30. Around 6:45 I heard rustling and huffing in the bush. Glad I had my bear spray on my hip. I started talking, packed up and walked back to my car. Probably wanted to get past me for a drink from the lake. ❤️
