so this is the last time im going to mention this at all because getting in replies about it constantly is not worth it, but for reference, Jacob Geller has alluded to the situation before. He put weepy piano music over vaguely calling it 'social isolation' and then said he got a dog about it.

This is fucking sickening, jesus christ. It's all about how HE felt during the situation, how HE was isolated because of his actions, and not how his victim felt. It matches up with him whinging about how he's "grown as a person" in his press statement

Half the responses to this forgiving a rapist just because he "owned up to it" and has good politics... Yeah this site deserves every echo chamber accusation it gets.

'Being a rapist was sad... for me. But I've learned from my mistakes and became Better.' It feels like he sees it as a character arc in a movie. Obviously people tend to form their own coherent narratives of their lives in their heads, but it makes his apology/regret feel kind of self-aggrandizing

Please exercise your own judgment on what this tells us about how he views the situation. (Hint: He views it as a tragic mistake, but emphasis on the 'tragedy' - he thinks there is nobility in it.)

If you rape someone you are a piece of shit. There is no rehab for rapists. And the more we try to rehab them, the more we end up with the Trumps and Epsteins of the world. If you rape someone, that is a choice that YOU made and acted on. That wasnt a mistake, and rapists need to be punished.
