Looks like animation news was quite dry this past week, so I'm delaying the next episode of AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast to next week. However, I'll still be on Twitch today starting at 4pm EST and play more of Mouse P.I. for Hire. I'm getting closer to the end, so I might as well keep going!
Almost forgot to mention that last week's Weird Al Concert was amazing! I rarely go to concerts, but this might be the first time that I fully jammed with the show and singing out to some of the songs while they play live. I even got a good spot to view the concert up close.

Movies deserve to be released in theaters, movies and shows deserve to be released outside of streamers exclusively, and movies and shows deserve to be released on physical media for people to own. They shouldn't be kept locked up in one specific place.

It may not be the movie's unbirthday, but today is the 75th anniversary of Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland, which went from being possibly the most hated Disney movie when it was released, to the definitive film adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novels and one Disney's most beloved classics.
Here’s my problem with this whole situation. Let’s agree that this did happen. What actions do we take in response to this? I can’t think of one where the result is everybody loses and the movie ends up being a complete waste.

I'm currently away at a new acting gig (this time, for a non-AI project), so there will be no livestream of AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast this week. However, I will be doing a recorded episode that will be coming out this week so that some of the animation-related SDCC news can be talked about!
The big takeaway from this whole controversy is that being a paranoid reactionary about the tech actually helps AI. Jumping to conclusions like this turns the fight against AI into a Boy Who Cried Wolf scenario where the accusations become less believable after each viral freak out.
