Mum (to two young adult women), mathematician, fibre artist, semi-retired (!!). Living on the lands of the Kulin nations. Author of "A Stitch in Line: Mathematics and One-Stitch Sashiko"

Last year, I made feijoa jam with my father’s large crop. There was a lot of peeling. This year someone else gave me 1.5 kg of small feijoas, so I made a skin-on chutney. Couple of hours in the slow cooker, finished on the stove.

I'm on the hunt for a reference cited in a paper that is about 10 years old, and the author hasn't been super careful about details. When I'm editing, I know authors get frustrated that I check all their page numbers etc. I protect your future reader from my current level of frustration!

It's Anzac Day in Australia. (Think something like Remembrance Day/Armistice Day, although we mark that as well.) One of my favourite mathematics movies is on TV today - Dam Busters. Come for the music, stay for the maths.

Only a few days left to submit a short paper or a workshop paper. I'm workshop chair and looking forward to seeing what is submitted!
