omg hiii, ok so I wrote a whole piece last year about the silly "bestiecore" name I offhandedly came up with around then and how, in contrast to AAA multiplayer titles, these indie games actually provide a really good map for what makes a good multiplayer title!! tl;dr these are NOT slop!!!

when I ranked all the Fire Emblems for Paste a few years back, the top three were all wildly different games with different approaches and gameplay, the best of each "version" of FE, and to me this was a sign of the series' strength. For others, a reason to whine.
