Persona 5 Royal is less than $20USD on steam right now. Not only is it one of the greatest games of all time. But for THAT price, it's an ABSOLUTE steal and works out to less than 20c an hour of content/gameplay. GO BUY IT.

Discussion of new Fallout projects should be a big, exciting thing, even if all the games are years off. But doing it as a "well, we just made deep cuts but these studios can still produce video games, honest!" kind of damage control thing just sucks.

So uh.. I think I made a game folks like? Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by at Game Garden this weekend to check out Cabs Of Chaos! Guess I'll keep working on it some more...

YES. MANY YEARS AGO. So many years ago that it was part of the reading I did during my PhD. It's hard to express how fucking annoying it's been having randos show up saying "LLMs are a new kind of intelligent life and you're the bad guy in TNG saying Data is equipment" for the last few years.

This is Cabs Of Chaos. 🚕 A driving game where you compete with other taxis to pick up passengers & drop them off in the fastest and most chaotic ways possible. It’s now officially in full production & I’ll be looking for playtesters soon. So, if this looks like your kind of thing, let me know. 👇🏻

Here's a simple one that applies everywhere: Be OCD about naming things always, and spend the time to fix spelling mistakes in your code, scene object names, layers etc This WILL bite you in the ass constantly if you don't. It sounds simple, but it will save you countless hours of time.

would love to see a thread of small practical pieces of advice developers just starting out or unfamiliar with a genre might not know! I’ll start: if you’re using a tag-based system, don’t just give everything an individual tag—look for thematic groups where similar events can lead to same outcome

Been working on an updated traffic system for Cabs of Chaos over the past couple of evenings. I built a custom tool to populate roads with lanes/waypoints. Vehicles simply move between waypoints and can then switch into a new "lane" during the links between sections (in blue). Simple but effective!
