2026 album-of-the-week #32 NIGHTBIRD - Erasure One of my favorite Erasure albums, Nightbird is maybe a little moodier than most of their output. All of the songs are gems, but "Breathe" is easily the crown jewel of this album. I've been an Erasure fan from the beginning, I always will be!

2026 album-of-the-week #31 MEASURE OF A MAN - Kevin Sharp A distinctive voice delivering well-crafted country songs - what more could you ask of an album? The standout track is "She's Sure Taking It Well" Sadly, Kevin only made one more album before passing away. Gone too soon!

2026 album-of-the-week #30 SINNER - Joan Jett & the Blackhearts It feels like this was Joan Jett's coming out statement. Almost every song has an element of queer pride. Banging, sexy, sly... Joan is firing on all cylinders. Her best album, imho.

2026 album-of-the-week #28 ...UPON MY WICKED SON - Andy Prieboy It's a confusing, self-indulgent, awkward album where the parts are greater than the whole. The songs are (mostly) great, but I have never seen how they fit together. Bonus points for some out gay content! Is anyone else familiar?

2026 album-of-the-week #25 TRIP - Cause & Effect Before he was SOLSUN, Keith Milo was in the band Cause & Effect. Synth-wave emo goodness - this was their best album, I think. OPening and closing tracks are compelling perfection, the rest of the songs are all superb. Worth searching out!
