Hoffman in for the save opportunity. I like Gomez a lot. He's been a great find and had a very nice year. But honestly it may be the best thing in the long view for the Twins for him to have scuffled down the stretch.

There is a dude right in front of us angrily yelling at Shay Whitcomb after that strikeout, and he even added a boo. Shay Whitcomb is a 27 year old journeyman with almost 3000 Minor League PA who is probably like 5th on a depth chart of a healthy Giants team, playing for a team that's 65-92.

Holy cow we just got a few bars of "Fool's Gold." The music here is always good but that... that's elite.

If we're doing u2 discourse I would like to again suggest that Pop is better than you remember. The best songs are really good - if God Will Send His Angels is one of my favorites. And I think its more the final form of where they were moving from Achtung to Zooropa
