I think you can blame Matt Quatraro for some early season bullpen mismanagement, but I don’t think this is on him now. No one is reliable. Literally no one.

Rice understands that there’s basically nothing he can do to result in real consequences. The Chiefs won’t bench him or cut him. Some other team will give him a contract next year. It’s a bad lesson to learn over the long run.

My GM told me hitters keep crushing his prep pitchers so I asked how many prep pitchers he has and he said he just goes to the draft and gets a new prep pitcher afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s just feeding prep pitchers to High-A hitters and then Bobby Witt started crying.
