Theatre director, performer, scribbler, Chapman stick tapper and board gamer.
At 16 years old I didn't have a sense of belonging. Now in my fifties, I still don't.
Taking myself back to self-taught art school. Slightly furry self taught-art school.
I didnt ask for a front row seat to the enshittification of absolutly everything.
The fact that we havn't been back to the moon since 1972 really drives home the dissappintment of being Gen X. We dreamed of multicultural citys in space and personal robots. The Artemis II is more powerful and the spacecraft is better equipped, but the idealist in me has long hoped for more.

Our explosive production of the world famous SHOCKHEADED PETER is coming soon!!! Featuring award winning music, puppets, dancing, and macabre stories of misbehaving children all performed LIVE before your very eyes! Opening at MuCCC in 2 weeks!! www.muccc.org/events/crow-...
Now more than ever I’m convinced losing Anthony Bourdain meant we lost probably the biggest person on tv who advocated for the wonders of meeting new people and calling anyone online who hated learning new cultures the children they were, ruthlessly to the camera.
Unlimited money and resources and all you do is deport chinese restaurant owners, be a snowflake about genders and blow stuff up; while working to brainwash people to cheer you on. A spectacularly vapid failure of human culture and imagination.
I always try to explain this madness with sweeping grand statements in my head, despite always telling myself that trying to figure things out only leads to more anger. Real truth only exists in the space between ideas; in intouchable ephemeral sparks; or more plainly, in art.
A meme taken straight from the pages of "Shockheaded Peter - A Junk Opera" which I am currently directing for Crow City Theatre! Poor Harriet should have played with her cats instead of a box of matches!
CAW! Let us entertain you! The very, very naughty cast of Shockheaded Peter - A Junk Opera! Coming to you LIVE at the MUCCC March 27- April 4!!!
These guys look so cool. I really hope I can get up there and check them out.
Eldritch Theatre’s 2025/26 season is upon us!!!
Rob Riener. He used his fame to actually better the world. The reaper made a poor choice. 😭
Go see live theatre. Whether it be something grand, a tight 5, or anything in between, it doesn't matter. It's real. It's in the moment. It's truth.
“I am so bored by AI. One of the things I love about the theatre is AI can’t do it.” Ethan Hawke is a dude 👌🏻
Announcing the second play for our 2026 season! Jeffrey Hatcher's brilliant script is a true psychological thriller. Anyone, or everyone could be Hyde! It's very Crow City. We are so excited! Between Jekyll & Hyde and Shockheaded Peter, expect a year full of horror, laughs, music and dark!

Allowing yourself to get lost and wander aimlessly is good for the creative spirit, as long as you can take your experience and put it into focus.
Take drawing lessons now. Even if you never are as good as you wanna be you will thank yourself 25 years from now that you can communicate visually.
Communication breaks down in this outrageous black comedy filled with blood, myth, wildlife, vengeance, karma, and laughs. The playwright, Steve Yockey, is a master of darkly funny plays. We are thrilled to bring one of his twisted tales to Rochester. Tix @ www.muccc.org/events/crow-...

Everyone, I know the world is trash, and so it feels like an important time to support artists, and women, and transgender artists, and queer artists, and ANYWAY, this is a long way of saying my friend Penny is in a one-woman show and you should go see it: rochesterbeacon.com/2025/02/21/r...
