I started a piano piece in 2020 that I worked on for about two years and then put on the shelf. I took it out about six months ago, removed all the electronics, started erasing and deleting a lot, made it into a trio, and now I'm excited to have a draft off to the performers.

I'll do the honest one: I used to think Steve Vai shredding was pure cheese, but now when I listen I just hear someone having a blast and ripping the hell out of a guitar. Similar trajectory with understanding the Grateful Dead in my 40s.
