Today the San Francisco Historical Society offered a self-guided tour of the Financial District with docents stationed at 14 locations. I was already familiar with a lot of it, but it gave me access to places not normally open to the public, like this room at the Merchants Exchange Building.

Merced County Courthouse Museum On a trip to Merced a few years ago, I mistakenly showed up to this museum just as they were closing. Such a minor thing, but it's always bugged me. So today I took the train back down (three hours each way) just to finally see it. #California #travel
