Dunno if this is wild, but the whole thing is a story being told by R2. The inconsistencies are from questionable memory banks in a very old droid, who was also relayed secondhand info when he wasn't present.

We were supposed to go on a cruise in like two weeks out of the UK, but we're going to have to cancel. I don't think my body is quite ready for a long trip. Thankfully we got the insurance, just need a note from a doctor saying so. Seeing them tomorrow anyway.
It's sad that the only phone calls I get from Virginia (that aren't my family) are from people thinking I'm my father and putting offers on my grandmother's house.
