Back in the halcyon days of Twitter, I had a thread where I described the process of hiding a mic and transmitter on a woman’s body when she was wearing, well, let’s just say it left nothing to the imagination. I used that to show why I wasn’t afraid of being a Me Too accusee.
Among the excuses, people who will gladly endorse that rape is bad will become the semantics police when others argue what rape is. Or they’ll introduce ambiguity when it comes to consent. Or expect victims to behave in a manner contrary to human nature.
“Fully developed brain” is more an idiom than any fact backed by science. There was a recent study that suggests the adult brain stage begins at around 32. I don’t think anyone will seriously argue a 28 year old isn’t a full fledged adult. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

"Your brains stop developing at age 25" was a press misrepresentation of a study. They wanted to see if brains continued to develop after adolescence, so the study was capped at age 25. A later study with a wider subject pool showed that brains are ALWAYS developing our whole lives.
When I was a kid, I learned that dinosaurs were giant cold blooded lizards. In the last 30 plus years, we now know they’re more like giant warm blooded chickens.

One line I see about AI is, "It's here and it's inevitable. It's gonna replace your jobs like photographs replaced portrait painters." That's the exact comparison they use. Except it didn't. daily.jstor.org/did-photogra...
Did Photography Really Kill Portrait Painting? - JSTOR Daily

In the House, members can assign proxies to vote for them. However in the Senate, the Senator themself must be present to vote. Mitch being absent is bad for the Republicans who already have a slim majority, because it is one less vote they can count on. So this is a good thing for Democrats.
It is unclear when the Kentucky senator plans to return to Congress.

I do this as well. There’s a few benefits. One, clients appreciate you looking out for them. Two, your colleagues will kick you work down the road. Three, the emotional satisfaction of helping a friend.
The best advice I ever got when I started freelancing was, if you have to turn down work, always suggest someone else who could do it. I have been so lucky to benefit from that over the years.
If you need a laugh, I have jokes both old and rare. These jokes will give you a terrific double wocka!

In retrospect, Bender’s too cool to represent AI. I mean, he’s a debaucherous kleptomaniac with an absurdly high carbon footprint who barely does the task he was designed for… Okay, maybe I was spot on.
