Smushed by AI. It’s useful to you because you are navigating a field you are not good at. If you were good you would see the output isn’t. ”Avoiding the tools is optional. Pushing harder than ever for the top tier isn’t.” - @sethgodin.bsky.social seths.blog/2026/07/the-...

The smush

When new creation technologies arrive, they make the best a little worse and the bad a lot better. Desktop publishing made every local garage sale sign a lot more legible, but can’t quite rep…

My kids have run out of things to fight about. So they make up words and fight about the made up words. I’m sure they have a bright future in politics or business.

I wish someone had this talk with me. Thankfully Blizzard ruined the game for me with Mists of Pandaria and I was able to get out. Got sucked back into classic for a while but by that time I had kids - so it didn’t seam that ”important” anymore. Kids! Don’t do MMOs

When I was like 17 I asked a cousin who was quite into it about WoW and his face went very serious & he grabbed me by the shoulders & said "look I know you and I know your personality so never ever get into this thing because you will ruin your life" and somehow it worked and I have never played WoW

Some things I use LLMs for are things I always found too dumb to delegate. Things I've found emerassing to ask other humans to do becuase it was so trivial. I have zero qualms with letting an LLM chew through those tasks.

I’ve been doing back-to-back conferences and workshops. Still have an online event to speak at today as I’m coming down with a cold.

Single panel comic strip of Tintin and Captain Haddock. Haddock says ”What a week, huh?” and Tintin replies ”Captain, it’s Wednesday”

Sometimes I install local LLMs and ask them about seahorse emojis; just to watch them spiral. If the robots takeover, I'm sure they will have a speciall kind of hell for people like me.
