I think a lot of Eddie’s fear of becoming a parent comes in the first year until he realizes how easy it is to love a child and that his dad was a piece of shit. Steve on the other hand is so quick to fall into the father role of caring for a baby. Toddler too. It’s the preschool age that got him.
