Giants home run tracker: Osleivis Basabe (2) 🫡 2-run 💣 off Chase Silseth 377 feet, 100.7 mph Ties the game in the 7th!
OSLEIVIS BASABE IS THE GREATEST POWER HITTER IN MLB HISTORY
At long long long long long last, the Giants might finally be interesting. Let @bryanmurphy.bsky.social tell you why
The Giants’ trade deadline finally made them interesting
An important trade deadline that has the franchise setup for a competitive window in… maybe a couple of years?

I remain steadfast in my belief that Buddy Kennedy looks like Cam Skattebo
Giants are gonna be a tough watch for the next few months. but we're used to that at least.
Corey Seager breaks up Blade Tidwell's no-hitter with a 1-out single in the 1st inning
Joc Pederson breaks up Blade Tidwell's perfect game with a leadoff walk in the 1st inning
Willy Adames breaks up MacKenzie Gore's perfect game with a 2-out single in the 1st inning
of all the lineups in an MLB game, this is one of them

Eldridge not in the lineup for the second straight day. Must be hurt or sick. Few reasons to watch the giants lol
If my math is correct, the Giants will have 33 players on their 40-man roster if they move Schmitt, McDonald, and Bader to the 60-Day IL
my biggest takeaway from the Giants at the deadline is, despite what they will say, their focus is on building a competitive team starting in 2028, not 2027
Now that's a memory making lineup. Thank god it doesn't have someone like Heliot Ramos in it
Giants’ lineup at Rangers: Nate Furman - DH Jung Hoo Lee - RF Willy Adames - SS Rafael Devers - 1B Daniel Susac - C Drew Gilbert - CF Osleivis Basabe - 2B Grant McCray - LF Christian Koss - 3B Logan Webb - RHP
Furman hitting leadoff in his first career start. Nothing like it

Carlos Gutierrez was also included in the Miller/Mayer deal. Bummer to lose him.
Heliot Ramos seems happy to be a Yankee so that at least makes me feel a tiny bit better
The Giants continue to claim their goal is to retool for 2027, yet they just had a huge trade deadline in which they acquired exactly 0 players that you should expect to see pitching for them next year
I can't believe Sam Hentges and JT Brubaker are still on this team but Heliot Ramos is not.
I’m a dyed-in-the-wool Yankee hater, but I hope Ramos makes the Giants regret trading him. Just seems like an 80-grade human.
🤖 Alex Pavlovic Heliot Ramos said he’s proud of his years in SF, there were ups and downs but he became an All-Star. During a brief interview here in Arlington, he mentioned several times that he can’t wait to be teammates with Aaron Judge. He’s also excited to hit in that ballpark (a great fit)
Despite my grumping, I do understand trading Heliot Ramos. BUT: ° Homegrown All-Star ° Broke the LF curse ° Only righty in the history of Oracle Park with a splash hit ° Infectious energy and work ethic, beloved by fans and teammates and media members THAT'S memory making, Buster. Bigotry ain't.
This is one of the more interesting trades I can remember the Giants making
Giants trade Erik Miller to Red Sox for Marcelo Mayer
A very interesting trade.
