$1 million dollars to get into this democratic forum…Yes, really. I didn’t have that, so they didn’t let me participate. The result? Four men on stage. But I didn’t give up, pulled up some chairs just outside to talk to the people I’m running to serve.
Measles was effectively banished from the United States more than 20 years ago. Yet, only three months into the year, outbreaks are ripping through our universities and schools. This is an emergency. My latest for @telegraph.co.uk: vist.ly/4ysvt
Paying to get elected: that's the American way. And that's why @nschwalbe.bsky.social was not invited to the forum for Democratic Congressional candidates (NY12) at the 92nd St Y, because the four men on the stage had all raised at least a million $. 'NO MILLION, NO VOICE' @rbreich.bsky.social

NEWS: Huge first win for Mayor Mamdani’s tax-the-rich plans in NYC. Mamdani just secured a deal with Gov. Hochul to create the state’s first-ever tax on $5 million+ second homes owned by ultrawealthy out-of-state residents.
There's something wrong with a forum allegedly devoted to 'affordability'that only includes Democratic congressional candidates who have raised one million $.The forum thereby excludes the most important female candidate, @nschwalbe.bsky.social and includes Conway who only recently moved to NYC .

Here's one good thing about the U.S. at last, a first-rate person running for Congress:
I will fight to protect immigrants and asylum seekers, advance racial justice and equal opportunity, and expand our rights. I've fought for equity around the world. Now, I'm bringing that fight home.
My friend Deirdre...very sad to see this news. She was a brilliant historian and an elegant prose stylist. We had many wonderful conversations and giggled together over aspects of Irish history that were not discussed by many. I already miss her. #DeirdreMcMahon
We are very sad to learn of the death of Dr Deirdre McMahon. Deirdre was an historian nonpareil, as well as a staunch advocate for archives and archivists. She was a great friend of UCD Archives over all the decades of our existence. We will miss her. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
