gosh I used to post a gamedev work in progress screenshots on social media nearly every single day, like some sort of show-n-tell, and now I never do. I still make games every day!!! but no longer need a pat on the back to stay motivated. Likes and shares and rando feedback feels unimportant now

to anyone suffering who needs to hear this: happiness is waiting for you in the future. you don't have to change everything about yourself. or your life. TIME ITSELF will change things. all you have to do is SURVIVE. outlast the bad times. get to that future. a day full of joy awaits.

I seriously get anxiety about getting anxiety! lol I'm stressed out about stressing out! and worry about worrying too much!!! what a negative feedback loop! a trap! a black hole of suffering! better to be exited to get excited, or feel happy that you're happy. My new life goal: BREAK THE CYCLE

every day, even during rough times, I see my dreams coming true. many things I used to daydream about doing/achieving/creating, I got to do. So many bucketlist items checked off - all but the most unrealistic have been fulfilled. don't know why but today I feel grateful for the life I've had so far

🏎 sculpted a car in blender today while hanging out on a discord "co-working" video channel at devpods. co-working (parallel working) is kind of nice. keeps you focused, just having other humans around who are also working so you're not the center of attention

made this level today for a hand-painted godot project I'm working on that's one of those "rage games" inspired by sisyphus, with physics jank and long hills where can lose it all and watch the orb roll all the way back down... because people love to suffer agonizing defeat but eventually prevail
