Returning to my alma mater, Vanderbilt, for a book tour stop in Benton Chapel was a special experience I'll never forget. Thank you to everyone in Nashville who came out to support "Go and Do Likewise."

Teachers are doing some of the most important work in the world – shaping our future through Kentucky's students. On World Teachers' Day, join me in thanking educators across the commonwealth for their time, passion and dedication to our kids. Thank you for changing lives.

It is our sacred duty to care for and support our heroic veterans who sacrificed to protect us and our country. They deserve better than the lack of respect they receive from Donald Trump – and they're standing up to demand change.

Great news for Owsley County! Today we announced the largest investment on record for that community, with Speed Kentucky investing $1.47 million in a new facility that will create 60 new, full-time jobs. I am proud to welcome this team to their New Kentucky Home.

Please continue to keep the family of Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips in your prayers. They need our love and support during this unimaginable time. Our law enforcement and their families sacrifice to protect us, and we must honor them by standing strong together in times of need.

Kentucky, please join Britainy and me as we pray for the family of Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips, whose life was taken today after being shot in the line of duty. Hayden was a hero who dedicated himself to protecting our commonwealth.

Always thankful to be with Rev. Cosby and the St. Stephen Baptist Church congregation. Thank you for inviting me to worship today and to share stories from my book, "Go and Do Likewise." Together, we can reclaim faith as a force for good.

Tech. Sgt. Ashley Young Pruitt is an American hero who gave everything in service to our country. Today, in her hometown in Nelson County, we named a memorial highway in her honor. Now her legacy will live on for her family, this community and everyone who drives this roadway.

I was honored to visit the Ally Davis Meditation Room at NKU, created in memory of a talented musical theater student whose life was cut short at 21. Her legacy lives on through this safe and calming space for students, as well as scholarships and blood drives in Ally's honor.
