Big news out of #WPBL postgame tonight: Queens manager Eric Young Jr. told me his starting pitcher Friday night will be Ayami Sato. So the matchup between Sato and the firepower of Kelsie Whitmore's San Francisco Firebells is almost here.

There is a player on the LA Queens, Brittany Apgar, who has a limb difference and traveled back to Illinois from receiving her first ever batting prosthetic *today* and is 3-for-3 in her first game playing with one. Incredibly cool.

Lonnie Walker IV has agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Denver Nuggets, agent George S. Langberg of @GSLSportsGroup told ESPN. Walker was with Maccabi Tel Aviv in the EuroLeague after last playing in the NBA in 2024-25 and now enters his 8th season in the league.
