the reason the world is fucked is because no one can tell the difference between the type of programmed AI used in robots and generative AI garbage. I didn't burn down a forest or put a town in a drought to make sage. i did those things -while- making sage but thats unrelated.

Deleted Bluesky and Instagram from my phone a couple of weeks ago and I think I made the right call with this decision. I'm not leaving these sites, but having unlimited access + often doomscrolling didn't have a good impact on me and I really needed to reconsider my approach to social media.

reminder that history has always been multiple events happening concurrently, but humans having the ability to see these events unfold in practically live-time is VERY new because of the internet. we were not built to handle this level of constant stress. 🧶(+)

Been thinking about Luis these last few days. Both in a state of grieving his tragic loss, but also reminded of how precious life is, and the passions we have that fuel us to keep going despite how hard things are. I don't know what's harder; the shock of knowing someone is gone, or seeing the ripple of how much that deeply affects those who loved and cared for them back, especially when there was still so much beauty and love left in them to bring into the world, expecting they'd always be there to do it.
