George Broussard didn’t like me saying he should take 12 years to come up with a different take on warcrime enthusiast Palmer Luckey’s N64 ripoff. Well, maybe someday he’ll develop thicker skin, then he’ll stop work on it, restart development, then do it again until he loses control of the project.

The SCREEN Act is not just another age-verification bill — it goes much further than anything passed at the state-level or in other countries. 1. The bill doesn't just target porn sites. It goes after *any* site that allows material "harmful" to minors. You'd have to scan your face to use Google.

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

You could still find attitudes like this even 10 years ago. I remember reading this review of DBZ Resurrection F at the time and thinking it was one of the most dismissive, condescending things I’d ever read. Seriously, the writer thought DBZ was based on a card game.
