The must succinct skewering since Isaac Chotiner's last interview. There is an entirely predictable social media meltdown happening because of Wilson's review. I don't currently have the strength to roll my eyes hard enough.

This goes without saying if you've read it but: I've been rereading @emilyrcwilson.bsky.social's introduction to her translation of the Odyssey and it's just exemplary.
The real friends were the ones we served to Scylla along the way.
