... people who insist on using AI at work... really come off as not being able to do their jobs on their own. I just can't stand it. Then half of the time, it's just making excuses on its lack of quality. Spending more time trying to get it to work than it would take to do it from scratch

Here's an update on our Hardship Fund: - We've received over 300 applications! - Our working group has been working diligently on processing these, and have currently reached out to over 100 applicants so far - Expect 2-3 weeks for us to reach out with next steps (1/2)

Proud to announce our HARDSHIP FUND: uvw-cwa.org/hardship-fun... If you've been recently laid off and need support, we got you.

A red poster with a white logo (a polygonal heart lifted by 2 hands) and the title "United Videogame Workers – Hardship Fund", followed by this copy:

"UVW-CWA stands for every game worker: for those still employed and fighting for union contracts and those who have been callously treated as disposable by executives who've never shipped a title.

We are proud to announce our launch of a hardship fund for game workers across the US and Canada who have been subjected to layoffs. If you are a game worker in need of support, please apply."

Below the text is a link to the initiative (as in the post) and the UVW-CWA logo.

Wirh the love hate art thing being talked about, my feelings is you should be open and honest with how you feel. Celebrate your highs and ask for help in your lows but don’t feel like you need to be a certain way based on what you perceive the standard of how an artist is ment to act.

In the game industry...I feel that there's become too many people who shouldn't have influence, that have become loud voices of influence. Lead too much by their own biases, that they project onto other younger, more impressionable devs. Then get mad at anyone correcting them or saying

A person being a multi billionaire, should in itself, be infuriating. A trillionaire? You're immediate family could not work, for GENERATIONS with $1b. He has 1000 billion dollars? And still won't pay his taxes mind you. He could solve world hunger, and not notice the money was gone.
