So grateful for my incredible support network. Lab website loading (and the apartment is still in boxes) - but spurs are already up 🤙🐔❤️!

Necessary research. Ive been watching this phenomenon happen since around 2015 (?) and it has been wild seeing papers that read like longish posts on Der Sturmer (especially shit on race and IQ and race and violence, etc) seek and acquire a simulacrum of legitimacy this way.

Investing in school mental health staff can have a large impact on student well-being. Learning at a young age that adults are present and care can fundamentally change students' relationship to seeking mental health care in the future. The adults in the room really set the tone for youth!

New @jaacapjournals.bsky.social paper— School #MentalHealth staff buffer negative effect of neighborhood deprivation on student #MentalHealth. Delighted to support this critical work by @teresagvl.bsky.social, @meghanacostello.bsky.social, Henning Tiemeier, & crew! www.jaacap.org/article/S089...

Longitudinal research is the key to understanding mental health, but it can pose challenges to youth privacy and autonomy. By adding 7 “silly” questions (think: eye color, birth month, etc.) to routine school screeners, we can link and track symptoms over time - no ID required!
