the other reason this bothers me so much is the contempt for the time, labor, and livelihoods of artists and designers who create book covers--just say your personal convenience matters more to you than an ethical stance on the issue of gAI stealing artists' work and/or wiping out their livelihoods.

I want to highlight this part of her rant because it's incredibly dismissive of Indigenous communities' centuries-long fight against environmental racism. While nothing in her article (if I can call it that) demonstrates mature, acceptable behavior, this part is the most egregious.
