This past year has been a hard one for gun violence in our communities—horrific shootings at Brown University and here in Pawtucket, one right after another. We don’t have to live this way, and I’ll keep working until we *don’t* live this way, in constant fear of gun violence.

Because abortion is healthcare, and so is contraceptive access, cancer screening, gender-affirming care, wellness exams, and STI testing and treatment. Planned Parenthood offers all of these and more, and has been an absolute rock in our community even as their job has gotten harder. #RockTheBoat

Mostly I let bullying go: people being nasty is a reflection of them, not me. Sadly, this blatant antisemitism is emboldened lately. But so we’re clear: I am not scared of well funded, highly conservative secret PACS, nor the contrarians they hire as cyberbullies, nor the candidates they support.

MAJOR BREAKING: In a 5-4 ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court held that states may count mail-in ballots that are postmarked on or before Election Day, even if they arrive afterward. Justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh dissented.

It was profoundly irresponsible of Governor Dan McKee to veto the Building Decarbonization Act, one of the biggest pieces of climate legislation to pass the General Assembly in the last few years. We must reconvene for an override as soon as possible.
