A few months ago, I noticed this scam #DigitalHumanities journal, with AI articles attributed to fake or stolen author names. They've now replaced those articles with new ones by seemingly real authors. Same vol, same issue, totally different pubs.

New scam journal alert for #DigitalHumanities! Digital Humanities and Society Studies - not just predatory, but fully AI-generated with fake authors (or in at least one case, a recognizably stolen name). The publisher's been flagged before as being shady, but this journal is particularly egregious.

You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.

Things they tell you in history grad programs: Anything can be a text! Things they don’t tell you in history grad programs: Scat can be a text? This has been another dispatch from St. Stanislaus Conservation Area. #skystorians 🗃️ (It’s not really graphic media, it’s just poop.)
