hello & happy friday! it's been a while since I asked this, so let's do it again. when did you first get into writing fanfiction?

I like co-writing (and always liked, as well as other sorts of collabs, oh the Big Bang fests of the early 2010s… whatever). Party for the mercantile reasons: you get to be a writer, beta, and a reader all in one, and the other half does the same, plus you can (kinda) hold each other accountable.

And now I need to rant. It is so fucking hard to pick up a pen after a long break, I feel like I have 3 blocks simultaneously; a classic writer’s block when you just staring dumbly at the empty document. An editor’s block when you have a written chapter but cannot make yourself to look at it again.

Today I learned some people think that the authors of fics with untagged t/b dynamics do it out of malice and to “lure” readers and not, for example, bc they don’t know until the sex scene who will be fucking whom (and if the penetrative sex even happens).
