Humbled by how difficult it is to teach terminal commands Inspired by how many people stuck with the workshop group through the side quests
Tomorrow I'm leading a "How to Vibe Code for Non-Engineers" workshop for women in a professional Slack community where I'm a member There are currently 43 people signed up (!!) May the lords of live coding demos be at my side 🙏
scanning in old strips for the new book and this is evergreen
Finally sat down for The Devil Wears Prada 2 Full of fan service, cameos and fun Easter eggs but the deus ex machina ending hits like a death knell Andy, girl, your job is *never* going to be secure enough to upgrade apartments, what are you doing

Feeling outnumbered by people who like to use Wispr Flow It's not that I can type as fast as I can talk (I average 80 wpm) It's that I think better when I'm writing, typing and editing When I talk to myself out loud, my thoughts are gobbledygoop How hard should I try to get better at dictation?

One tension I'm feeling right now: there's a lot of genuinely interesting tech landing on the market But the intensity of the way founders are expected to run marketing is manic Every time I open the other app to learn about a launch, it feels like somebody sneezed and dusted me with cocaine
One thing I will say about this generation of young adults: the thrift store vintage fashion is immaculate Tonight our server at the bar was wearing an awesome Seinfeld-era red and forest green printed polo with layers of gold jewelry and a turquoise pendant They looked cool as hell
Well, this is obnoxious I *frequently* visit IMDB because I like to look up people and movies but today, of all days, my visit automatically created a new account for me, that I didn't ask for, because of Amazon Even though I've been logged out of Amazon and haven't shopped there in over a year
snuggled on my sofa in my underoos sipping peppermint tea house so quiet I hear nothing but the air vent and crickets outside
if you don't have children i hope you're doing nothing at all rn and absolutely relishing it. no guilt at all just enjoyment. i did not relish my nothing time enough and now well it's gone
Waiting for LinkedIn to introduce the "seems like this person is over-sharing gruesome personal details in a professional setting and my second-hand embarrassment for them is so overwhelming I need to close my browser and throw my laptop into the sea" button
New: LinkedIn just introduced a "seems like AI slop" button. That's literally what the button says. The thought leaders are going to have a meltdown www.404media.co/linkedin-int...
"oh nice! a new company announcement!" *scrolls down on launch blog to find funded by list looking like a who's who of tech's most notorious supervillains
If you know me in real life, this post is going to be a big surprise Either because you never suspected or you can't believe nobody called it sooner www.melaniecrissey.com/blog/bar-cha...

It's okay to build a product solely because you thought it would be cool and you want it for yourself But demand is the difference between a side project and a business With enough marketing, you can create demand that didn't previously exist but it's more expensive than serving a known problem

Spielberg couldn’t secure a Drew Barrymore cameo for this E.T. sequel?
Nobody ever explained to me what a passkey is or how they work. Websites just started asking me for passkeys like it's something we talked about.
Working fractionally, I do occasionally take interviews with companies if it’s a particularly cool product or team Afraid to submit the one startup that ghosted me Not sure it’s worth giving them visibility on this list
Interesting: There’s now an anonymous, moderated list of companies that stop responding after you interviewed with them
Just finished watching Obsession and suddenly feel like I need to sage my whole house
