Minneapolis native Rockie Robbins dropped his debut album in 1979. He had modest success with dance tunes like 'Funk Street' and 'I've Got Your Number' but his ballads were the best. You And Me 1980 #soul youtu.be/-q8INdQrBms?...

In the past, regardless of the job market, I've had no problems getting interviews for jobs. But this last year has been filled with more non-responses, recruiter ghosting, and resume scammers than anytime I can remember. Also have never seen so many ghost jobs.

applied to my own company's job posting under a fake name. rejected in 6 minutes.
I lead a team of nine. We've had a desperate need for a senior associate role since april and hr keeps telling me the pipeline was thin, nothing passing screening. So last month i made a new email, changed my name, tweaked the dates, and applied to my own req with essentially my own cv. The CV of the person who wrote the job description and brother i was auto-rejected in six minutes!
Took a week to work out why. the filter was set to require React.js and my cv says React. that's it. that's the whole thing. a full stop.
We have been rejecting every qualified applicant since april over punctuation, while i sat in weekly meetings being told the market was tough.
if you've been getting instant rejections from places you're clearly qualified for, it is very possibly not you.
Anyone else tested their own funnel? i'm now scared to look at the other two requirements

Run That Back 💎 One of Miles Davis' talents was discovering new talent. He hired Wynton Kelly to replace Bill Evans in his band. Kelly was a piano prodigy who played his first gig at age 12. His bluesy style is unmistakable on Freddie Freeloader. youtu.be/ZZcuSBouhVA?...

Indeed…keep us distracted with entertainment as to pay no mind to our exploitation and demise for other’s benefit.

Hunt @chizarone.bsky.social · 5d ago

As do I but sometimes (often in our exploitative capitalistic system) our emancipation is at odds with what we find entertaining, and choices gotta be made. Far too many choose escape, unfortunately.

I hated Paul Pierce ever since he did that bullshit where he acted like he fainted or got hurt and they had to wheel him out in the chair only for him to come running back on the court like nothing happened. like, GETCHO DUMBASS UP! IT WASN'T EVEN WET OVER THERE!
