she/her I like napping and I like yapping

The videogame guy I'm controlling? That's not me; I'm me. The main character in a novel I'm reading isn't me either. More and more I feel like this is an unusual attitude towards art.

Reading a book that is almost perfect for you but has something that you find irksome / takes away from your overall enjoyment is SO much worse than reading a book that you just don’t like

2026 reads continued: Dorohedoro (up to volume 6. Requested more from my library system) I absolutely ADORE Dorohedoro. The world is so gritty and the characters absolutely shine through the darkness of the setting with their personalities and relationships. I would highly recommend checking it out

Life updates: switched fields to library science, go to the gym regularly (my Halloween costume plan is Toji), taught a group of my coworkers how to play dnd and now we play monthly. Going to see the Elden Ring concert soon. Life is pretty good

it's been 7 years since Sekiro's release and while I only played the game for the first time a not so long ago, using this anniversary as an excuse to finish a piece of my favorite moment in the game ߹𖥦߹

colored sketch of the towering Tengu, hand at the ready on his katana, stands before a rough shinobi in his old tattered rob from childhood, and commands, "Tell me your name!"
The shinobi is silent.
The tengu continues: "No name to give? You shinobi are all the same. You die nameless, with no one to mourn you. However...Your left arm. A prosthetic shinobi arm, it reminds me of... That's it... a one-armed Wolf. I like it! Which means...Sekiro. This is what I shall name you.

2026 reads 9/? Dorohedoro (volume 1) - Q Hayashida Gruesome and fun. I’m very excited for season 2! I put in a request for the rest of the series at my library, but I’ve got plenty to read in the meantime.

2026 reads 8/? Chainsaw Man (volume 14) - Tatsuki Fujimoto I’m really excited to catch up. The violence and overall grimness may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Volume 9 was the most painful but also my favourite.
