lrp ive been feeling like that for a while now... idk the way people will so easily take a panel or a page or an illustration etc and just use it as the basis for a shortlived trend when it originally existed as an artwork within its own context feels very careless
thinking about the popularity of so many "redraw trends" and plagiarism of compositions by all sorts of artists (it comes up often for gposing but 2D artists do it too). i have to sum up my discomfort with it as follows: it's artists treating other artists the same way A/I treats art as data
