There's never enough time to watch, read, listen to, and play all the media I want to. I'm one of the Muppet nerds from @toughpigs.com (he/him)

We're back to the point where hit movies are coming out often and lots of people are seeing them, which leads to lots of people coming up with dumb takes on them. Cinema is healing.

In high school I did improv. There was a game called "Here Comes Charlie Now," in which a group of performers play friends discussing a mutual acquaintance. They keep bringing up ridiculous and bizarre traits, habits, and facts about him, until eventually 1/2

The Muppet Christmas Carol is great because Michael Caine treats the Muppets like riveting guns, and Muppet Treasure Island is great because Tim Curry treats himself like a Titleist golf bag.

The dentist's office has a TV over the chair. I should be able to watch something while they clean my teeth. But I have to be able to hear them say "open" and "bite" and stuff. So they could play silent films! But... 1/2

I assume we'll get more One Wish Willow movies, but what if they all rhyme with Obsession? Regression: "I wish life were more like it was when I was a kid." Confession: "I wish everyone always told me the truth." Impression: "I wish I could do a pretty good Jeff Goldblum impression."

Rick and Morty is one of those things where I'm always surprised to learn that otherwise sensible people in my life are fans. See also: Howard Stern and Cards Against Humanity. (I'm sure there are things I like that would surprise other people too!)

So many people love Rick and Morty! "it's just so intelligently written, Becca, check out this hilarious episode!" Guy gets sexually assaulted in that episode and it was what I was told was the funniest episode? I'm out.

"Master class" is yet another phrase that's becoming meaningless because of overuse online. Everything is a master class in something these days. Liberty Mutual commercials are a master class in emus. These fries from Jack in the Box are a master class at getting salt in my mouth.

The trailer for One Night Only is confusing. Characters say "What am I supposed to do on the one night of the year when it's legal to have sex?" but it's not clear if they're joking or what. It doesn't look like the future or an alternate reality. This is why we need the "In a world..." voiceovers!

Dang, I had a hard time finding a parking spot at the movie theater. I was delighted! Lots of different people of different ages were there to see different kinds of movies!

Theory: The people who use A.I. to "write" and generate "art" are the same people who confidently declare that the creators of various movies, TV shows, and cartoons were "DEFINITELY on drugs." Because they don't know what it's like to have original ideas.

I got a haircut. Two of the haircutters were talking about their supply of Barbicide, but one of them kept calling it "Barbercide," like she was one of the kids from The Family Circus.
