Boring. Likes to read and crochet, among other things. Sinophile. History nerd.

Back down to 535 because my light bill was 100$ I hate this for me but I could use assistance guys. My time is almost up I’m truly facing real eviction here. I’m at the verge of losing my job that I worked so hard to get. Please don’t let me fall.

735/2936.45 Urgently pushing I have 6 days left to remedy… I really don’t want to go back to abuse because I’d rather suffer at the mercy of night than to go back to be forced to do things I don’t want to do… Please consider me… Venmo: Mikrokosmochi Cash: NamjoonMoonie

Something they don't tell you about losing weight: it can become uncomfortable to sit. Apparently the entirety of what has left has been right under the lower part of my pelvis, so now I can feel the bones pushing into my seat at work.

Unrelated to the protein thing, I'm watching a squirrel and a chipmunk face off over the acquisition of sunflower seeds. They're both in one spot I definitely did not pour them for legal reasons, not knowing there are others in a different area. They keep getting close to each other,

I'm becoming slightly concerned at the way my body is craving protein like I'm actually a snow leopard or something. All I had left for meat was a giant roast I'd gotten awhile ago, and yesterday Gramma's voice in my head piped up "You don't need to wait for it to thaw to put it in the crockpot."

Re the AI Teddy Roosevelt: TR loved nature and was known as the "conservationist president." Let's think about what AI data centers do to the environment for a moment. Anyone think that TR would appreciate an AI version of himself???

Anyone know of any cooling pads I can use on my office chair that work without needing put in the fridge or an ice water bath? The person behind me refuses to believe that her heater is hurting me as I sweat and am miserable with the fan blowing hard on me.

So, apparently most people cannot feel when their blood pressure is jacked up. It seems that normal people (not that I ever have been normal) can blissfully go through life with no noticeable, outwards symptoms of high blood pressure until their heart just gives out.

Body: Just what do you think you are doing? Me: Trying to get ready for work. Body: The hell you are. We had a blood pressure issue yesterday. We have no spoons left. The only place you're going is your chair. Me: *showers*

I can't even pretend to work today. The phones won't stop ringing, Gina apparently got no extrovert time this weekend so won't stop talking, and I am about ready to beat the snot out of people because they won't leave me alone.

Does anyone know of a language that has a word for the feeling of "Oh, I wish I could have that, but I don't begrudge you having it and wish you well in life truly and without sarcasm." I call it nonmalicious envy, but that still sounds pretty negative.

I am loving all the videos of Europeans eating here in the US for the first time. They're going to mostly our chain restaurants, the ones we don't necessarily consider good compared to other options we have, and their eyes are crossing with enjoyment. I just think it's neat.

My brain feels like it's surrounded by cotton and on a significant delay. I do not like this. It's frightening in a way. This is not how my mind does things; it goes so fast that it trips on its own ganglia. What the hell is wrong? Where is my cognitive function?!

@ryetoast.bsky.social Now that Iron Lung is out, is there any chance you'd pull out your Lit degree and do a proper story analysis of this movie? This is one of those things where I can point to why I love it and why I think the structure is good, but I don't know the Craft Reasons (tm) behind why.

Are we just allergic to text walkthroughs now? I had to fork with my Youtube account to be able to access the movie I BOUGHT because of some damn "brand account" BS. No text to show me how to do it, only videos. STAHHHP. Let me just read and not have to rewind everything!

Today is one of those days where if my body would cry, I'd probably feel a lot better. Trauma and dealing with manipulation have basically trained my tear ducts into permanent drought. Can't cry, can't scream like a banshee until hoarse, can't fork off home bc capitalism, can't beat up loud people..
