Gallery is being entirely thrown out and replaced with a new app soon. Calendar, Clock, Contacts, Dialer and Messaging are going to be overhauled. Messaging overhaul is well under way and most of the UI has already been replaced with a modern one in the Messaging app development branch.

As a sysadmin & cybersecurity pro, my devices have duress systems built in. Forced access? The data wipes & firmware locks immediately 💥. Don't think for a second I won't trigger it. If law enforcement has a problem with that, tough luck. 🛑 Protect against illegal search! #GrapheneOS #InfoSec

Too many late Millennials & Gen Z have this weird belief that they can use public spaces, platforms and networks to say ambiguous, incorrect or lazily defined things and get outraged when spoken to plainly, objectively, axiomatically or offered a contradictory opinion from their subjective position.

@grapheneos.org I've used grapheneos for a decent amount of time now and I've only been loving it, it feels secure and private, and even gave me more settings to tweak for extra security that should even be in standard android os, I couldn't recommend grapheneos enough to anyone, easy install

We solved the recent regression in compatibility with a small subset of banking apps. It was caused by a Zimperium anti-tampering SDK checking the Linux kernel mount ID for /system/framework/framework.jar and banning it being above 900. Our new secure spawning was tripping it.

GrapheneOS team have provided a clear layout of the current state of Android security updates. This is impacts standard OEM users massively, leaving so many people vulnerable before they think about alternate OS options.

Android's security policy for the past several years has been to backport patches for Critical and High severity Android vulnerabilities to the past 3 major yearly releases. Moderate and Low severity patches including most fixes for privacy weaknesses have required upgrading to the latest releases.
