Legendary game dev scope creep happening: Looking at fixing up game's code, maybe do sounds (4 months) Improved train sound system (2 months) Write new signalling system with documentation to boot (Earlier this week) Write essentially "Dummies Guide to UK Railway Signalling" for the research (Today)

I don't mind this too much apart from the fact that's what they went with for the trains. It feels to me like a good one-off promotional thing rather than something for trains generally - also which will just be those running services for England. It doesn't feel serious.

Tomorrow the new blue, red & white GBR livery & brand will be launched. The new design will be displayed on digital displays at a number of major stations. The DfT says the livery will appear across already publicly owned train operators from spring 2026, with the roll-out being gradual. 📷DfT

Enjoyed visiting The Greatest Gathering yesterday, alongside getting to meet a few people in person. Just wish I'd been running on a bit more sleep 😂

Headlight cluster of a train with a red light turned on. The background is blurry, with other rolling stock exhibits and buildings visible.A line up of various diesel locomotives with yellow fronts, with a crowd people visible in the foreground and train workshop buildings in the background.A line up of steam locomotives of various colours, with an Alstom workshop building visible in the background.A sunset side shot of a line up of 3 high speed trains found in Britain, with a two cut off cab ends of trains visible on the left. Various buildings surround the trains.

Didn't really plan this into my trip yesterday, but have 37800 hauling 455868 off to the Greatest Gathering through Wimbledon yesterday.
