there is a very poorly edited commercial on tv that shows A Mom starting her day and she goes in to wake up her kid for school and as the kid begins to wake up it cuts to a closeup of someone spraying Raid at an unseen target. it really looks like some kid getting got with bug spray

When you register your name in the Icelandic phonebook you can choose to state your profession. And they have a pretty loose definition of what exactly a profession entails. This person for example has opted for „þjóðhetja“. It means „National Hero“.

wrote a pretty lengthy novel in 2023/2024 & subsequently felt so burned out on writing for a while … working on short stories this year has been getting me really excited abt the craft again 🥹🩵
